Evening study time (‘Prep’) is conducted in classrooms and in the boarding house, under the supervision of academic staff.
From rising time until lights out, the life of a boarder is an active and fulfilling one, with age-appropriate routines designed to help them flourish academically, physically, socially and spiritually.
Over the following ten years James worked as a teacher in the Middle School, and was also an integral member of the boarding community. James’ positions as a member of the Ashgrove boarding staff included being Duty Master, Deputy Housemaster and Housemaster. James, his wife Tilly and two children, Ruby and Albie, moved to Armidale to accept the appointment as Head of Middle School boarding at TAS.
Assisting James is Deputy Head of House, Harriet Symons and House Mother Mrs Manuela Jones, a past TAS parent of two boys.
