Old Armidalians’ Union

The Old Armidalians' Union works hard to enable its members to keep in touch with their friends and the overall school community, whilst at the same time contributing in many ways to the life of the School.

In 1999 the  TAS Old Armidalians’ Union celebrated its centenary  – 100 years of continuing association and contributions to the welfare of the school. The maintenance of that association with the TAS community keeps alive the spirit, ethos and traditions of the school as well as preserving amongst Old Boys and Old Girls the friendships and contacts forged while they were students here.

The OAU works hard to enable its members to keep in touch with their friends and the overall school community, whilst at the same time contributing in many ways to the  life of the school. This encompasses everything from year reunions to annual OAU weekends, organising sporting competitions between Old Boys and Girls and the school, invitations to school activities and functions, and to working bees and fundraising for specific projects.

The service of Old Boys and Old Girls to their school and country is honoured and recognised right across the school, from the war memorial honour boards in Big School and the War Memorial Assembly Hall (itself a project of the OAU), the construction of White House and the Chapel Lych Gate, funding for the TAS Hoskins Centre, and for scholarships and bursaries.

Becoming a member of the TASOAU makes you a lifelong member of a network of former Old Boys and Old Girls from TAS, and more broadly, our fellow GPS schools.
