Indigenous Student Scholarships

TAS has a very proud history of providing educational opportunities for Indigenous students. TAS works in conjunction with two distinct organisations, the Yalari Foundation and the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF).  Indigenous Student Scholarships are for boarding students only.

Yalari

TAS has been a partner school of Yalari since 2009. Yalari provide a named Scholarship – The Rosemary Bishop Indigenous Education Scholarship. The Rosemary Bishop Indigenous Education Scholarship program aims to provide Indigenous children with the opportunity to access a first class education at one of Australia’s high achieving secondary boarding schools. In NSW the first year of secondary school is Year 7.

Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF)

TAS has been a partner school of AIEF since 2011. The Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF) is a private sector led, non-profit organisation focused on empowering Indigenous children in financial need to build a future through quality education and career pathways at Australia’s leading schools, universities and companies. We aim to provide scholarships to educate 2,000 Indigenous children at some of the leading schools and universities in the nation and equip them to pursue productive and fulfilling careers.

Scholarships are available to indigenous students who demonstrate financial need and whose family or guardian are supportive of the enrolment. Application must be made through the TAS Director of Enrolments. The student must be accepted for enrolment at TAS before scholarship recommendation is made to AIEF.
