This week has been designed to be a meaningful and enjoyable for Year 8 students in developing a deeper appreciation of Service Learning.
Below is specific information needed by parents and students.
Skate and Bowling Night at the Recreation Centre.
Transport : Boarders will be bussed and Day students are to meet us at the venue.
Clothing: long trousers for skating and ensure they have socks for bowling.
Students should have dinner beforehand and bring money if they would like to purchase a snack from the canteen. Water will be available.

We will be at St Peter’s Cathedral doing a simulation activity relating to poverty and fair trade in the afternoon. Students will be walking back to school, but may not be at TAS until 4.30. If you want to collect your child from St Peter’s Cathedral please be in touch to let us know.
Year 8 students will be running a fundraiser for both a homelessness cause as well as the Year 8 Fiji service project. While students will decide on the details and arrange the evening, the night may involve watching the movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The rating is M; however, the themes and content are relevant to our week.
The Armidale School is very excited to announce the launch of our new Day Student ‘All-Rounder’ Scholarships. A limited number of scholarships for 50% tuition will be awarded to students who have demonstrated consistent academic achievement and involvement in sport or the creative arts and who would be enthusiastic about the opportunity of a TAS education. New day students entering TAS in Year 9 or above in 2019 are eligible to apply for these entrance scholarships. The closing date for application is Friday 28 September.
