We prepare our students to be successful and active citizens who know how to set and reach high personal and professional goals. Our Middle School program provides the means for students to experience a smooth transition from primary to the senior school in an environment that fosters a sense of belonging, stability, security and happiness.
Following the successful implementation of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme in Junior School last year, the next strategic development in our academic vision is our application for IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) candidacy for Middle School. The NSW curriculum will still be at the heart of what is taught at Middle School, but the MYP changes how it is taught, encouraging a great level of inquiry, curiosity and exploration of the content as it is taught. The process of moving from IB ‘candidacy’ to ‘registration’ is a lengthy one, with implementation rolling out over time. More information will be shared with our families as plans are progressed.
The Armidale School is very excited to announce the launch of our new Day Student ‘All-Rounder’ Scholarships. A limited number of scholarships for 50% tuition will be awarded to students who have demonstrated consistent academic achievement and involvement in sport or the creative arts and who would be enthusiastic about the opportunity of a TAS education. New day students entering TAS in Year 9 or above in 2019 are eligible to apply for these entrance scholarships. The closing date for application is Friday 28 September.
