At this very exciting time in the School’s history, with growing enrolments from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, The TAS Junior School (Pre-K to Year 5) is in an extraordinary growth period, and we are seeking to appoint a dynamic leader as our full-time Head of Junior School to commence in Term 1 2023 (or by negotiation).

About the role 

The Director of Teaching and Learning will have a background in school academic leadership, and a strong understanding of curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning is essential.  Proven ability in the development and implementation of a strategic plan would be advantageous.

Reporting to the Principal, the Director of Teaching and Learning is a senior leadership role within the School, responsible for raising student achievement and leading quality teaching and learning across the School.

A GPS boarding and day school in northern NSW, The Armidale School (TAS) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Anglican minister and outstanding Christian educator for the position of School Chaplain. TAS prides itself on the high quality of its academic, boarding and co-curricular programs.

In collaboration with the Principal, the Chaplain is responsible for the spiritual life of the School, and of all its members, and must be able to be licensed by the Armidale Diocese.

The School Chaplain leads the Chaplaincy Team in delivering the School’s Christian ministry and spiritual life with a primary focus on the students. The Chaplain engages in Biblical, inspiring, engaging and relevant Christian ministry through Christian Development lessons, Chapel ministry and voluntary Christian groups for students and staff.   While the primary focus of the School is its students, the Chaplain is a spiritual leader for the broader TAS community including current students, staff and families and past staff and students.

Position Description – Chaplain


Casual Sports Coaching Positions at TAS

  • Casual Sports Coach 
  • Commence Term 4, 2022

TAS is looking to engage enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coaches to join our casual coaching team in the Co-curricular Department of the School.

This role requires experienced and vibrant coaches who have a commitment to nurturing the sporting development of students. The Coach must be available for morning or afternoon coaching sessions as required, and be available for a mid-week or weekend game each week.

Specific interest and experience in Basketball would be required.

This role requires vibrant educators who have a commitment to nurturing the academic, social and emotional development of all students. The teachers must be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to teach at the Junior (Pre-K-Year 5), Middle (Year 6-8) and Senior (Year 9-12) levels of the School.  Graduates are welcome to apply.
