HSIE Teacher at TAS

TAS is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our HSIE department. This role requires a vibrant educator who has a commitment to nurturing the academic, social and emotional development of all students. The teacher must be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to teach any combination of HSIE from Stage 4 to Stage 6. Experience in teaching Legal Studies is highly desirable.

TAS is the only regionally based co-educational GPS school in NSW and prides itself on the high quality of academic, boarding and co-curricular programs. We are an IB World School offering the Middle Years Programme.

The ideal candidate:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and accreditation as required by NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • Experience in Legal Studies, History and Geography
  • The ability to teach in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment strategies with the ability to design and report on quality teaching and learning programs
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong relationships and engage with students, staff, parents and the community
  • Be fully vaccinated (2 Doses) of the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • 38 hours per week (Term time only)

The Armidale School (TAS) is an Anglican co-educational boarding and day school with a Junior School (Pre-Kindergarten to Year 5), Middle School (Years 6-8) and Senior School (Years 9-12). The School has an enrolment of around 650 students and with half of our secondary students being boarders, residential life is at the heart of the school.

The school is currently going through an exciting period of growth and the expansion of our Medical Centre has created an opportunity to appoint an experienced and highly capable administrator to oversee the day to day operations of the Centre and provide administration support to the nursing staff.

Relevant qualifications and/or experience in a healthcare administration environment are essential. Nursing qualifications are highly desirable but not essential.
