The main intake for International students in Semester 1 at the start of the school year in late January, or at the start of Semester 2 in July. All international students must provide acceptable evidence of English Language Proficiency (eg IELTS, TOEFL) or the school can suggest a nominated English Language College for the student to sit an English Proficiency Test. Students will be interviewed in English by TAS staff via video link. The school will notify the student if they can be accepted for Direct Entry or will be required to undertake an ELICOS Course prior to beginning mainstream studies at TAS. International students generally attend TAS as a boarding student.
Guardianship of our international students is provided by their Boarding Head of House, who will ensure the provision of a safe and caring environment in which students can realise their full potential.
Other members of staff that support Heads of House in the care and stewardship of our international students include the Director of Pastoral Care, School Counsellor, Director of Boarding, English Language Support teacher and Chaplain.
