Since its founding, TAS students have relied on the outstanding natural beauty and challenging terrain of the nearby gorge country as a natural playground for recreation and adventure and leadership programs.

TAS believes that developing the heart and mind together contributes to self-confidence and resilience, promoting academic achievement and character development.

TAS is renown for our  Leadership, Service and Adventure opportunities, including a range expeditions that involve members of the wider school community. These include 35 years as part of the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic (a 111km overnight paddle from Windsor to Brooklyn Bridge), biennial treks along the Kokoda Track, and  in the past, the 248km Sea 2 Summit cycle ride from Merimbula to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko.

All of these also have a service component, engaging students with those less fortunate than themselves. Others bring together boys, girls and significant parents in programs designed to enhance relationships.
