Co-curricular life

Our goal today is, as it has always been, that every student is immersed in an environment where they dare to achieve all that is within them - as is the case with every field of endeavour at TAS.

Co-curricular activities are prioritised highly in our educational philosophy for their value in the mental and physical development of our students. At TAS, co-curricular life includes sport (which is mandatory for all students), music, drama, public speaking and debating, chess and student clubs (Cattle Club, Engineering Club).  TAS students enjoy participation in co-curricular life at all levels from mass participation through to representative honours at state and even national level.
TAS believes co-curricular activities enhance rather than detract from a student’s academic pursuits, enabling each boy or girl to achieve their overall goals for a vibrant and successful life both at school and beyond.

Whether it be on the field, on the stage or at the rostrum, our boys and girls develop a commitment to be their best. Not just in terms of their performance, but in their attitude and ability to be humble in success, generous in defeat, and emboldened that, whether they are just one in a team or as an individual, knowing that they are part of something much bigger than themselves.
