Stage 5 Elective Choices

We welcome you to this next stage of your child’s education, as they move from Middle School and enter the world of Senior School. Given current COVID guidelines, we are unable to meet with you in person and present this information to you, however, we are pleased to welcome you virtually for this experience. From Monday of Week 7, students in Years 8 and 9 will be sent an initial preferences survey for the subjects that they would like to study through the Stage 5 Elective program in 2022. To assist with this process, below are a number of important documents to help guide this process.

Stage 5 Handbook

The Stage 5 Handbook contains important information about each elective course offered as part of the Stage 5 Elective Program at TAS. Please ensure that you have read this document and are familiar with the expectations of each course and its assessment requirements.

Please see the below instructions for making these subject selections through Edval. The subject selection system will be open from Monday 30 August to Friday 10 September

EDVAL Instructions Year 9 2022

Where to next?

Year 8 and 9 students will receive an email inviting them to submit their initial Stage 5 Elective preferences through EDVAL. The subject selection system will be open from Monday 30 August to Friday 10 September. Once all of the initial preferences are received, our Principal and Director of Studies will determine the final elective lines for 2022. Once these are finalised, they will be published on this webpage. We anticipate that these will be finalised by the beginning of Week 9, Term 3, to allow students and families to make their final selections over the holiday break. Students will then submit their elective choices, again through the Edval system, at the beginning of Term 4.
